Oliver’s journey to becoming a Network Technician at Adams County Schools is one of resilience. Fleeing Cameroon’s “Anglophone” crisis, he endured a grueling three-month trek across continents before reaching the U.S. in 2016, spending nearly eight months in immigration detention.
In 2019, Oliver faced another challenge—stage four lymphoma. After chemotherapy, stem cell treatments, and a bone marrow transplant, he has been in remission for four years, declaring, “I am living the American dream.”
